West Bromwich Albion FC Women play in the FA Women’s Northern Premier League. There are two women’s team and four academy girls teams within the club, all of which wear Maple Products from Quebec branded football kit. As the official energy sponsor of WBA FC Women we work with the players, coaches and fans to educate them on the benefits of pure maple syrup as a natural energy source.
When consumed after physical activity, maple syrup helps your body recover by replenishing your glycogen reserves.
Q. What inspired you to become a professional footballer?
A. When I was in primary school we had a local football club come in to do a football after school club. My best mate wanted to go so I went along with him, I was 6 years old and I have played football ever since.
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
A. My best piece of advice was from my first ever football coach, he told me “when people tell you that you can’t, show them that you can." I have stuck to that throughout my years of playing football.
Q. What is your proudest moment in football and why?
A. I have a couple, my first was being scouted for Aston Villa when I was just 8 years old. More recently and by far my proudest moment has to be winning the Birmingham County Cup, the Northern Premier League and leading my team out to face Manchester City Ladies in the Women’s FA Cup quarter finals.
Q. If you could play against any team in any league in the world who would you play, in what stadium and why?
A. It would have to be Lyon as they won the Women’s Champions League last season, it would be amazing to play the best team in the world. They also have Alex Morgan in their team and she is a huge role model for many young girls involved with football. I would love to play this game at Wembley stadium.
Q. What are your favourite pre and post-match meals?
A. My favourite pre match meal has to be poached egg on toast. Post-match has to be lasagne or pasta bake.
Q. What’s your favourite way to use pure Canadian maple syrup?
A. I like a large spoon of Canadian maple syrup mixed in with porridge.
All fixtures are subject to change and will kick off at 2.00pm (unless stated)
